Discussions on Policies for a Developed India at CPA Conference

CPA Conference to Focus on Developed India Goals

On Monday, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla announced that the upcoming Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) conference will focus on the policies necessary to achieve the goal of a 'Developed India'.

The three-day second CPA India Region Zone Two conference, hosted by the Haryana Assembly, will be inaugurated by Birla.

Upon arriving in Chandigarh, he stated to reporters, 'We will discuss how we can realize the resolution of a Developed India through our policies.'

The conference will see participation from the speakers, legislators, chairpersons, and vice-chairpersons of legislative councils from five states in the CPA India Region Zone Two—Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi.

Participants will engage in discussions on the theme 'The Role of an Aware Society and Representatives in Realizing Future Challenges and the Developed India 2047 Goal.'

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha Harivansh, Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan, and the state's Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mahipal Dhanda will also address the conference.

The conference will conclude on June 9, with Haryana Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh delivering the closing speech.

According to an official statement, the conference aims to strengthen parliamentary cooperation, exchange best practices related to legislative and parliamentary processes, and promote constructive dialogue on issues of regional and national significance.

The statement further noted that this conference will serve as a vital platform for presiding officers and representatives to share their experiences and discuss strategies to contribute to the vision of a Developed India by 2047.
