Meeting Focuses on Pension Schemes
Jaipur - On Saturday, Chief Secretary V. Srinivasan met with the Chairman of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), Mr. Shivasubramanian Raman, at the secretariat for a courtesy visit. The discussion revolved around various topics including the National Pension System (NPS), the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS), pension reforms, and employee social security.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary presented the state's position regarding the return of the accumulated funds under the NPS. Additionally, discussions were held regarding the options available under NPS and UPS for All India Services (AIS) officers, along with various aspects of the pension system.
The Chief Secretary shared insights from the implementation of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) in Rajasthan, outlining the state government's perspective on employee interests and social security. The meeting also covered topics related to the promotion of the National Pension System, pension welfare, and social security.
