This particular cat has strikingly different colored eyes—one blue and the other yellow. Some may think such a unique cat wouldn’t be found in India, but that’s not the case. Recently, a man in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh discovered this rare feline in the forest.

People are now flocking from far and wide to see this extraordinary cat. Until now, there had been no confirmation of its presence in India; it was thought to exist only abroad. The discovery has left many astonished, with some even searching for similar cats to breed and produce more of this unique variety.

The Story Behind the Discovery

The rare cat was found by Anubhav Singh, who lives in Sarani, Betul. He recounts that while crossing the forest, he spotted the frightened cat perched on a tree, surrounded by dogs eager to attack it. He chased the dogs away and brought the cat home. Upon closer inspection, he noticed its unique eye colors.

Now, this cat has integrated well into his family, and he has named it Haiji. According to researchers from biological departments, this unique breed is known as the Khao Manee cat, characterized by its intelligence and playful nature. Its population worldwide is extremely limited.
