Immediate Resolution of Pending Cases Emphasized

Jaipur. The Director of the Fisheries Department, Mrs. Sanchita Bishnoi, conducted a thorough review of public complaints and pending cases through the Rajasthan Contact Portal (181). During her inspection, she instructed departmental officials to focus on the accurate categorization of complaints and ensure timely and quality resolutions. Mrs. Bishnoi took a firm stance on complaints that have been pending for over 90 to 180 days on the moderation level of the portal, urging officials to prioritize their swift resolution.

Direct Interaction with Complainants and On-Site Solutions

During her inspection, the director directly communicated with several complainants via phone, attentively listening to their issues. Upon receiving a complaint, she promptly ordered water testing for the relevant pond to ensure the aquatic environment remains conducive and does not harm fish farmers.

Online Auction of Ponds and Hatchery Development

Mrs. Bishnoi directed that issues related to the online auction of ponds and reservoirs be resolved as a priority to maintain transparency in the auction process. Additionally, she emphasized strengthening and developing hatcheries to enhance the production of quality fish seeds in the state.

New Employment Opportunities in 2,500 to 3,000 Dams

The Fisheries Director highlighted that there are immense self-employment opportunities in fish farming and aquaculture across approximately 2,500 to 3,000 small and large dams and water structures in Rajasthan. She stated that proper management, transparent auctions, and hatchery development are opening new avenues for livelihoods for local villagers and youth.

It is noteworthy that following the directives of Chief Minister Mr. Bhajanlal Sharma, secretaries of all departments are present at the Rajasthan Contact Helpline (181) control room on designated dates to directly communicate with complainants for swift resolution of public grievances. This initiative allows citizens to register their complaints from home and receive prompt solutions. Senior officials from the department and technical experts from the IT wing were also present during the inspection.
