Dibrugarh University Partners with Miranda House for Academic Collaboration

Dibrugarh, May 27: A significant Memorandum of Understanding was executed on Monday between Dibrugarh University (DU) and Miranda House, University of Delhi, with DU's vice chancellor, Prof Jiten Hazarika, in attendance.
This agreement aims to foster academic and interdisciplinary research, facilitate internship opportunities, and enhance international collaborations.
In a related initiative, an awareness and counseling session focused on skill-based education took place on Sunday, organized by the Skill Education and Entrepreneurship Development (SEED) Foundation in partnership with Assam Skill University at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School.
The event attracted numerous educators, including Dr. Himadri Barman, a professor of Management Studies; Moniruddin Ahmed, a retired joint director of fisheries in Assam; Chinmoy Hazarika, deputy vice president of Bandhan Bank; Dhirendranath Das, city project manager for the National Urban Livelihood Mission; Rupam Chetia Bora, a professor at Assam Skill University; and Dr. Lenin Gogoi, an assistant professor at Dibru College.
Nazib Ahmed, the project manager of SEED Foundation, welcomed attendees, while Aminul Hussain, chairperson of the SEED Foundation, outlined the program's agenda.
Resource speakers provided valuable insights through PowerPoint presentations, exploring topics such as skill education, entrepreneurship opportunities, career-oriented courses, and emerging job prospects across various industries. Their contributions were particularly beneficial for students from multiple institutions, including Don Bosco Higher Secondary School and Salt Brook Academy.
The initiative aimed to enhance students' understanding of the significance of vocational education and the diverse career paths available through skill-based learning.
