DGP's Visit to Bikaner Range
On April 2, DGP Rajeev Kumar Sharma conducted a tour of the Bikaner range. His visit began with a thorough inspection of the police lines, where he inaugurated a newly constructed barrack and addressed the personnel's concerns through a contact meeting, issuing directives for prompt action.
During the initial phase of his tour, DGP Sharma examined the police lines, gathering information about various divisions and reviewing the maintained documents. He inspected the armory and other facilities, inquiring about the diet provided in the police mess and emphasizing the need for nutritious meals. Additionally, he assessed the availability and requirements of vehicles during his inspection of the motor branch.
Promoting Smart Policing
While inspecting the CCNTS training center, DGP Sharma stressed the importance of extensive training for police personnel to enhance smart and high-tech policing. He also reviewed the Central Police Welfare Store, cavalry, and armory, receiving updates from Bikaner SP Mridul Kachhawa and other officials.
In a display of sensitivity, DGP Sharma cut the ribbon of the newly built barrack, which cost ₹36.52 lakh, alongside two constables, Daulat and Prem Singh. He praised the quality of the building, noting that modern housing facilities significantly contribute to the efficiency of the personnel.
Health Camp Inauguration
During his visit to Bikaner, DGP Rajeev Kumar Sharma inaugurated a special health camp at the police lines. He inspected the health services available at the camp and sought detailed information from the doctors regarding treatment and testing facilities.
Emphasizing the health of police personnel as a top priority, DGP Sharma instructed that health cards for as many personnel as possible should be created.
Addressing Police Personnel's Concerns
After inspecting the police lines, DGP Sharma addressed the personnel during a contact meeting held at the police lines. He listened attentively to their issues and directed prompt resolutions. He clarified that special efforts are being made to bridge the promotion gaps across various cadres, including MT, mounted police, and band.
He assured that the promotion and recruitment processes would be timely, ensuring that personnel receive equal opportunities for career advancement.
Discussing Border Challenges
Discussing border challenges, DGP Sharma highlighted the need for heightened vigilance among Bikaner range police personnel, especially considering the situation along the Punjab-Haryana border and the international border. He pointed out the rising trend of substance abuse among youth and cybercrime as serious societal challenges.
He advocated for organizing cyber training at the circle level and enhancing the skills of investigating officers within the CCNTS system to effectively combat technical crimes.
Resource Availability and Community Engagement
DGP Sharma emphasized the importance of resource availability, assuring that police personnel traveling to other states for investigations would be provided with all necessary resources and facilities by the department. He instructed officials to actively resolve issues not only at higher levels but also at the levels of additional police superintendents, circle officers, and SHOs.
In conclusion, the DGP encouraged the personnel by referencing the proud image of the Rajasthan police. He stated that the public has high expectations from the police, urging them to serve the community with dedication and determination. He also called for raising awareness about road safety, women's safety, and child crimes. He directed district superintendents to submit appropriate proposals to honor deserving police personnel for their exemplary work.
