TMC MP Issues a Challenge to the Prime Minister

In a recent statement, Derek O'Brien, a Member of Parliament from the Trinamool Congress (TMC), issued a provocative challenge to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to step down if the BJP fails to secure victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections against Mamata Banerjee's party.

O'Brien, in a video message, emphasized that Modi has positioned himself as the face of the BJP for all 294 Assembly constituencies in West Bengal and called on him to accept this challenge.

He stated, "You declared yourself the candidate for all 294 seats in Bengal. It's time to stop making grandiose claims and take on this challenge. When Mamata Banerjee and the TMC emerge victorious on May 4, have the guts to resign from your position as Prime Minister," highlighting the fierce political rivalry between the ruling TMC and the BJP during the ongoing elections.
