Collaboration Among Departments

Review of Development and Infrastructure

The meeting covered a variety of topics, including development projects, public infrastructure, transportation services, and civic amenities across the district.

Special Review of Patwaris’ Offices

The Deputy Chief Minister instructed the Deputy Commissioner to organize a special meeting to assess the construction of Patwaris’ offices and panchayat buildings in newly formed gram panchayats. He requested a comprehensive proposal to identify locations needing new Patwaris’ offices and those where construction is already planned. Additionally, he emphasized the need to resolve land-related issues concerning panchayat buildings, including availability and administrative challenges, through inter-departmental coordination.

Respect for Elected Panchayat Heads

Agnihotri stressed the importance of respecting the authority of elected panchayat pradhans, asserting that no one should interfere in their duties or attempt to assume their powers. He specifically noted that if a woman is elected as panchayat pradhan, no one else should act as the de facto leader or interfere with her responsibilities.

New Bus Routes Based on Demand

Regarding requests for new bus routes, Agnihotri stated that the government is willing to provide services where there is a legitimate public need. However, he noted that passenger demand and operational feasibility must be considered to ensure the sustainability of these services.

Funding for Rampur-Santokhgarh Bridge

On the topic of the Rampur-Santokhgarh bridge, Agnihotri confirmed that the necessary funds have been allocated, and construction will commence once all formalities are completed.

Street Lighting for Janmashtami

He also instructed the Una Municipal Corporation to ensure street lighting along the Una-Hamirpur road leading to Baba Bal Ji Maharaj Ashram before Janmashtami, anticipating a large influx of devotees.

Self-Sustaining Model for Lata Mangeshkar Kala Kendra

Patient Care at Una Hospital

Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma raised concerns about facilities at Una hospital, including the boundary wall and patient arrangements during doctors' absences. Agnihotri directed officials to ensure that patient care is not compromised when doctors are on leave and emphasized the need for adequate beds and essential facilities, especially with new constructions underway.
