Severe Fog Affects Daily Life in Delhi-NCR

On Thursday morning, a thick layer of fog enveloped a significant portion of the National Capital Region (NCR), leading to drastically reduced visibility and hindering normal movement.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), fog was reported in the national capital as early as 6 AM.

Visibility at Palam Airport plummeted to just 150 meters, while Safdarjung Airport recorded visibility at 200 meters, indicating poor conditions across the area.

The dense fog caused disruptions in road traffic in various regions, with vehicles on major roads and highways connecting Delhi to the NCR moving at a slow pace.

Due to the low visibility, drivers had to exercise caution, resulting in delays for passengers trying to reach their destinations. Officials have indicated that with the drop in temperatures, foggy conditions are expected to persist in the mornings over the coming days.
