Delhi's Special Intensive Revision Campaign for Voter List Ahead of Elections
Voter List Revision Campaign in Delhi
In preparation for the upcoming elections, a 'Special Intensive Revision' (SIR) initiative is actively underway in the national capital, Delhi. According to the latest updates from the Election Commission, over 93% of registered voters in Delhi have received enumeration forms. As per data released by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi, more than 1.35 crore enumeration forms have been distributed as part of the third phase of the voter verification process, which is set to conclude by July 12. Out of a total of over 1.45 crore registered voters, 93.35% have been covered.
Digitalization of Forms Underway

Understanding the Voter Verification Process
Election officials have emphasized that their primary goal is to ensure that every eligible voter receives an enumeration form. Once the forms are filled out and submitted, the focus will shift to collecting them and expediting the digitalization process. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are providing each voter with two copies of the enumeration form. One copy serves as an acknowledgment receipt for the voter, while the other must be returned to the BLO. Voters also have the option to submit their completed forms online, simplifying the process.
Final Voter List Expected on October 7
Following the verification, correction, and updating processes, the final voter list for Delhi is anticipated to be released on October 7. The Election Commission has urged all eligible voters to cooperate with their respective Booth Level Officers (BLOs), provide accurate information, and complete the verification process within the stipulated timeframe.
Importance of the SIR Process
The 'Special Intensive Revision' (SIR) is crucial for maintaining an accurate and up-to-date voter list ahead of future elections. This process aids in identifying eligible voters, removing duplicate or ineligible entries, updating changes in voter information, and ensuring the reliability of the voter database. Election officials have encouraged residents to actively participate to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the final voter list.
