Current Weather Conditions in Delhi

On Friday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius, which is 0.6 degrees above the normal range. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted predominantly cloudy skies with light rain for Saturday. The main weather station at Safdarjung noted a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius, while Palam reported a slightly lower temperature of 33.5 degrees Celsius, which is 1.4 degrees below normal.

Temperature Readings Across Various Areas

At Lodhi Road, the maximum temperature reached 33.6 degrees Celsius, exceeding the normal by 0.6 degrees. In the Ridge area, the temperature was recorded at 33.4 degrees Celsius, which is 0.8 degrees below normal, while Ayanagar saw a maximum of 33.1 degrees Celsius, falling short by 1.3 degrees. Regarding minimum temperatures, Safdarjung recorded 27.2 degrees Celsius, slightly above normal by 0.1 degrees.

Minimum Temperature Insights

Palam's minimum temperature was 25.4 degrees Celsius, which is 1.7 degrees below normal. Lodhi Road also recorded a minimum of 27.2 degrees Celsius, 1.2 degrees above normal. The Ridge area noted a minimum temperature of 23.4 degrees Celsius, 2.2 degrees below normal, while Ayanagar reported 27.3 degrees Celsius, exceeding normal by 1.2 degrees.

Recent Rainfall Data

During the 24 hours ending at 8:30 AM on Friday, light rain was observed at most weather stations in Delhi. The Ridge area received the highest rainfall of 7.6 millimeters, followed by Safdarjung with 3.3 millimeters, Palam at 3.0 millimeters, and Lodhi Road with 1.1 millimeters. Notably, Ayanagar did not record any rainfall.

Air Quality Status

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi's air quality remained in the 'satisfactory' category, with an evening Air Quality Index (AQI) of 76. The CPCB classifies an AQI between 51 and 100 as 'satisfactory'.
