New Delhi, August 1 - The minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 27.9 degrees Celsius on Saturday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated that light to very light rain is likely throughout the day.
According to the IMD, the Safdarjung weather station reported a minimum temperature of 27.9 degrees Celsius. In contrast, Palam recorded 25.6 degrees Celsius, Lodhi Road noted 27.6 degrees Celsius, and Ayanagar saw a minimum of 27.1 degrees Celsius. An official from the IMD mentioned that light rain is expected in Delhi on Saturday, with similar weather conditions anticipated over the next few days.
The weather department forecasts that the maximum temperature in the capital could reach around 34 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) indicated that the air quality index (AQI) at 9 AM was 76, categorizing it as 'satisfactory.' According to CPCB standards, an AQI of 0 to 50 is considered 'good,' 51 to 100 is 'satisfactory,' 101 to 200 is 'moderate,' 201 to 300 is 'poor,' 301 to 400 is 'very poor,' and 401 to 500 falls under the 'severe' category.
