Delhi Police Detains 66 Bangladeshi Nationals for Illegal Residency
Detention of Illegal Immigrants in Delhi
On Saturday, the Delhi Police apprehended 66 Bangladeshi nationals who had been residing illegally in the city for several years, as reported by officials. The authorities are currently in the process of repatriating these individuals back to Bangladesh.
A senior police official indicated that legal proceedings and identity verification for these foreign nationals have commenced in coordination with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO).
All of these individuals had entered India unlawfully and were violating visa and immigration regulations. The official stated, 'The FRRO is completing the necessary legal and documentation formalities before their deportation. They will be sent back to Bangladesh in accordance with the law.'
