Delhi Police Capture Two Suspected Shooters Linked to Notorious Gang

Arrests Made Following a Shootout in Rohini

The Delhi Police apprehended two alleged sharpshooters associated with the Himanshu Bhau-Vicky Hadal gang after a confrontation in Rohini. These individuals were wanted in connection with the murder of a 45-year-old man in Bawana, Outer Delhi, earlier this month, as reported by an official on Friday.

The suspects have been identified as Harsh Vasne, aged 19, and Vipin, also known as Shyam Sundar, aged 20, who were taken into custody on July 29. Authorities indicated that the duo was reportedly on their way to commit another targeted killing when they were intercepted. During the operation, Harsh allegedly fired at an assistant sub-inspector.

The bullet struck the officer's bulletproof vest, allowing him to escape unharmed. In response, the police team returned fire, causing the suspects' scooter to skid, leading to their capture. Authorities recovered two semi-automatic pistols, six cartridges, two empty cartridge casings, and a stolen scooter from their possession.

Both suspects are accused of murdering Joginder, known as Kala, on July 18 in Puth Khurd, Outer Delhi. The police stated that the victim was shot six times in broad daylight, resulting in his death. A first information report (FIR) was filed at the Bawana police station.

During interrogation, the suspects revealed that they were recruited by gangsters Himanshu Bhau and Vicky Hadal, who are based abroad, to avenge an old rivalry. The police also recovered a diary containing the names of two traders marked as targets.

Authorities claim that these arrests have thwarted another potential conspiracy.
