Delhi's Education Minister Unveils Progress on New Educational Mission

On Monday, Ashish Sood, the Education Minister of Delhi, shared updates regarding the 'Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Vidya Shakti Mission' during a meeting with the Directorate of Education. He informed the board that over 2,200 students are receiving free coaching to prepare for competitive exams such as JEE, NEET, CLAT, CA, and CUET under this initiative.

According to Sood, this ₹21 crore mission aims to ensure that students from government schools in the national capital have access to AI-equipped classrooms, an education system based on human values, and equal opportunities for every child.

Government's Commitment to Student Aspirations

Giving credit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's leadership, Sood emphasized that the Delhi government is dedicated to fulfilling students' aspirations, ensuring their emotional safety, and building future-ready schools in the capital.

He stated, "Through this mission, we are not only providing educational resources to children in Delhi's schools but also instilling courage, confidence, and emotional strength to dream big." This significant initiative aims to open new avenues for academic excellence and career development for talented students in government schools.

Focus on Gender Equality in Education

Sood further explained that under this scheme, the Delhi government plans to reserve 50 seats specifically for girls in the total seats available for JEE, NEET, CLAT, and CA foundation courses. Additionally, to promote gender equality, 150 out of 1,000 seats in CUET-UG have already been reserved for girls.
