Delhi Education Minister Takes Action Against Misinformation
On Friday, Ashish Sood, the Education Minister of Delhi, announced that the government has decided to lodge a complaint with the police regarding the spread of misinformation about teachers in the city. Speaking on the matter, Sood accused former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of disseminating false information through a tweet, prompting the government to make a well-considered decision to file an FIR after extensive discussions.
In a conversation with a news agency, Sood remarked, "I prefer not to comment much on the unemployed leaders of Delhi. The government has thoughtfully decided to file a police complaint against the misinformation being spread about teachers. This time, the individual spreading fake news is Arvind Kejriwal, who is sitting in Chandigarh. He has propagated this misinformation through a tweet. After considerable deliberation, the government has decided to file an FIR against him."
On Tuesday, Arvind Kejriwal, the former Chief Minister and national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), criticized the BJP-led state government, claiming that it has requested the appointment of nodal officers from all educational institutions, schools, and stadiums to report on issues related to stray dogs. In a post on X, Kejriwal questioned, "Will the teachers in Delhi's government schools teach children, or will they count dogs on the streets?"
He attacked the BJP government for belittling teachers through this order. Kejriwal stated that this directive from the Delhi government reveals their mindset and priorities. For the BJP, education is not a concern; they are disrespecting teachers and ruining schools. Furthermore, he praised the governance of the AAP in Delhi, stating that they have respected teachers, while the BJP is intent on destruction.
