The national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal, announced on Friday that the Delhi government has decided to provide free bus travel for candidates appearing for NEET 2026, following a similar initiative by the Punjab government. This statement is perceived as an indirect jab at the Delhi Chief Minister regarding the announcement of free bus rides for students taking the NEET-UG exam. Kejriwal shared on X that, after Punjab, the Delhi government has also made buses free for NEET students.

In a related development, Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced free travel on all DTC buses for NEET candidates. She stated on X that in support of candidates appearing for the NEET (UG) 2026 exam on June 21, the Delhi government will offer free rides on all DTC buses upon showing a valid admit card. No student should face inconvenience on such a crucial day for their future. She extended her best wishes to all NEET candidates, hoping their hard work and determination lead to success.
Previously, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had declared that the state government would waive bus fares for students taking the NEET exam, allowing them to travel for free on Punjab Roadways buses on June 20, 21, and 22.
