Weather Update for Delhi

On August 3, the capital city of Delhi experienced warm weather, with the minimum temperature recorded at 28.4 degrees Celsius, which is 2.2 degrees higher than the seasonal average. The primary weather station at Safdarjung reported this minimum temperature.

In contrast, Palam recorded a minimum temperature of 26.2 degrees Celsius, exceeding the normal by 1.2 degrees. Lodhi Road saw a minimum of 27.8 degrees Celsius, which is 2 degrees above the average for this time of year. Other weather stations reported varying temperatures, with the Ridge at 24.4 degrees Celsius, 2.1 degrees above normal, and Ayanagar at 27.5 degrees Celsius, 1.1 degrees higher than usual.

Light rainfall was also observed in Delhi over the past 24 hours. By 8:30 AM on Monday, minimal rain was recorded at Safdarjung and Palam, while Lodhi Road received 0.4 millimeters, Ridge 3.0 millimeters, and Ayanagar 6.8 millimeters. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality in Delhi remained in the 'satisfactory' category, with an average Air Quality Index (AQI) of 75. The CPCB classifies AQI readings from 0 to 50 as 'good', 51 to 100 as 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 as 'moderate', 201 to 300 as 'poor', 301 to 400 as 'very poor', and 401 to 500 as 'severe'.
