License Revocation of Pharmacy in Dwarka

New Delhi, August 4 - The Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, announced on Tuesday that the license of a pharmacy located within a government hospital in Dwarka has been revoked. This decision follows an incident where employees of the pharmacy refused to provide medication to patients. A video of the incident circulated on social media, prompting the Chief Minister's attention.

Gupta emphasized that negligence, indifference, or abuse of authority will not be tolerated in Delhi. She stated that every public institution is meant to serve the people, not to cause them distress. In a post on X, she confirmed that the pharmacy's license has been immediately canceled. She warned that strict legal action would be taken against those who deny citizens their rightful services, disregard legal directives, or display arrogance towards the public.

On Monday, Gupta had pledged to take stringent measures against the vendor operating the Jan Aushadhi Kendra at the government hospital in Dwarka for refusing to dispense medication.

In her post, she shared a video showing an individual complaining that the staff at the Jan Aushadhi Kendra were denying medications to patients and their attendants. Gupta remarked that refusing to provide essential items like medicine because of mopping the floor is completely unacceptable. This reel was widely shared with me, and many tagged me in it.
