Campaigning in Ludhiana
During the ongoing by-elections in Ludhiana, Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has arrived to promote her party's agenda. She strongly criticized the Aam Aadmi Party and its leader Arvind Kejriwal, questioning their inaction amidst rising deaths due to toxic alcohol. Gupta accused Kejriwal of colluding with builders to seize land from impoverished farmers, expressing disappointment that the people of Delhi, who once supported him, are now disillusioned as he focuses on Punjab.
Allegations Against Kejriwal
Rekha Gupta further alleged that Kejriwal has rendered the state government ineffective, burdening it with a debt of 4 lakh crores due to his poor policies. Alongside her, prominent figures such as Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, and Union Ministers Manohar Lal Khattar and Ravneet Singh Bittu are part of the BJP's 40 star campaigners for the Ludhiana West by-election.
BJP's Campaign Strategy
On Tuesday evening, the BJP released a list of campaigners that includes National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, Punjab Party Chief Sunil Jakhar, and several other notable leaders such as Anurag Thakur and former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Additionally, Delhi Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has recently campaigned in the Ludhiana West assembly constituency.
