Delhi Businessman Receives Extortion Call from Alleged Gangster

New Delhi, August 5 - A businessman in Delhi has reportedly received an extortion call from an international number, where the caller identified himself as gangster Goldy Brar, demanding ₹5 crore. The caller threatened severe consequences if the amount was not paid, according to police sources.
According to the police, this latest threat comes shortly after the businessman filed a complaint at the Punjabi Bagh police station, stating that he had received a voice note in July from someone claiming to be Goldy Brar, who also demanded ₹5 crore.
The complainant, who operates a restaurant in the Punjabi Bagh area, informed the police about the call. The caller reiterated the demand for ₹5 crore and threatened the businessman with serious repercussions if he failed to comply. The police have initiated an investigation into the call and are working to trace its origin.
A police source mentioned that technical surveillance has been intensified to determine whether the call was made from abroad or through internet-based communication methods.
