Exciting Launch of Uttarakhand's Premier Cricket Tournament

The Dehradun T20 League 2026, the largest franchise cricket event in Uttarakhand's history, is set to commence on Wednesday. This eagerly anticipated tournament will take place at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy in Dehradun, starting with a spectacular Opening Ceremony at 6:30 PM, followed by the inaugural match at 7:00 PM, as announced in a press release from the league organizers.

Notable Guests at the Opening Ceremony

Mahim Verma, the former Vice President of the BCCI and ex-Secretary of the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand (CAU), will grace the Opening Ceremony as the Chief Guest. Additionally, Navneet Mishra, the CEO of the Dehradun T20 League, will also be in attendance.

A 'New Era' for Uttarakhand Cricket

Before the tournament kicks off, Mahim Verma shared his enthusiasm, stating, "This league serves as a significant platform for local and emerging cricketers to advance their careers. Young players will have the chance to learn from seasoned captains from the IPL and domestic cricket as they take the field today. Tournament Structure and Viewing Options

The tournament, spanning eight days from September 2 to September 9, will feature six franchise teams: Mussoorie Thunder, Herbertpur Knightriders, Doiwala Kings, Vikasnagar Dhamaka, Rishikesh Dragons, and Selaqui Strikers. All 18 matches will be broadcast live across India on the FanCode app and ABP Sports, allowing fans to follow their favorite teams and enjoy the matches from anywhere. The format includes 15 round-robin matches among the six teams, leading to two knockout semi-finals. The top two teams will then compete for the championship title in the final.
