Safety Advisory for Students

Darul Uloom Deoband has released an advisory urging students to refrain from unnecessary travel during the annual Kanwar Yatra. The institution's hostel administration emphasized that students should avoid markets, highways, and areas frequented by Kanwar pilgrims to ensure their safety. Thousands of devotees pass through Uttar Pradesh carrying sacred water from the Ganges to offer at Shiva temples during this pilgrimage. According to a written order from Hostel In-charge Ashraf Abbas, students are advised to stay away from markets, GT Road, or the routes taken by Kanwar pilgrims unless absolutely necessary. The advisory also encourages students to avoid non-essential travel during this period. If travel is unavoidable, students are instructed to use only reserved compartments on trains.

Identification Requirements

The institution has made it mandatory for students to carry their Darul Uloom identification cards at all times. The order states that after sunset, no student will be allowed to enter the campus without presenting valid identification.

Behavioral Guidelines

In addition to travel-related instructions, the advisory also references the institution's existing rules regarding student behavior. It warns that students found using multimedia mobile phones may face expulsion from the institution. The administration reminded students that they are there to pursue education and should focus on their studies and religious obligations.
