Dalhousie Hosts Successful Blood Donation Camp on International Day Against Drug Abuse

On the International Day Against Drug Abuse, Dalhousie Hill Top School and Sanatan Dharma Sabha held a successful blood donation camp, collecting 40 units of blood. The event emphasized the importance of rejecting drugs and fostering community service. Dignitaries encouraged youth to commit to a drug-free lifestyle, while a pledge ceremony reinforced the message of health and discipline. Community Unites for a Cause


In celebration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse, the Sanatan Dharma Sabha Kutpalihan, in partnership with Dalhousie Hill Top School, organized its fifth annual blood donation camp. The event's central message was “Say No to Drugs, Donate Blood; Respect Humanity.”


The camp saw enthusiastic involvement from local youth, social groups, and residents, leading to the collection of 40 blood units, showcasing a commendable spirit of community service.


Mr. Sudhir Dhaval, the head of Dalhousie Hill Top School, attended as the Chief Guest. Other notable attendees included Colonel Pradeep Sharma from the 323 Brigade, SDM Dalhousie Mr. Anil Bhardwaj, and Mr. Kesar Ji from the Welfare Department. They all encouraged the youth to reject drug use and engage in blood donation and social service.


A pledge ceremony against drug use took place on the school grounds, where teachers, staff, and students joined the Sanatan Dharma Sabha in committing to a healthier, addiction-free society. The pledge was led by SDM Mr. Anil Bhardwaj, with Colonel Pradeep Sharma highlighting the importance of character, health, and discipline among students as the future of the nation.


The blood donation camp was overseen by the medical team from Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College & Hospital, Chamba, under the leadership of Mr. Vivek, ensuring the safe collection of blood.


This initiative was made possible through the hard work of Sabha’s founder Mr. Darshan Sharma, along with President Pandit Aman Shastri, Vice President Mr. Sunil Sharma, Secretary Mr. Vijay Sharma, Assistant Secretary Mr. Vinod Sharma, and other dedicated members.


In his closing remarks, President Pandit Aman Shastri thanked Dalhousie Hill Top School, its management, teachers, and students for their support of the campaign. He also expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, the Chamba Blood Bank team, the administration, the army, the health department, media representatives, and all donors for their significant contributions.


The event wrapped up with a collective commitment to enhance service, awareness, moral values, and humanity through initiatives like blood donation and drug-free campaigns, ensuring that youth actively contribute to a healthy and addiction-free India.
