NTA Addresses Technical Issues During CUET (UG) 2026

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Saturday that candidates who faced technical difficulties during the CUET (UG) 2026 examination will be granted an additional opportunity to take the test. In a post on X, the NTA acknowledged the unfortunate technical issues that affected some candidates today. Those who had completed their biometric registration and were present at their exam centers on May 30, 2026, but could not finish their exams due to these glitches, will be allowed to retake the examination.

The CUET-UG 2026 entrance exam, conducted for admissions to undergraduate programs across the country, experienced delays at several centers due to technical malfunctions. TCS reported that the technical issues on their end caused the delays in starting the CUET UG 2026 exams at some locations. The NTA confirmed on X that the problem has been resolved, and the exams are now being conducted as scheduled to minimize any inconvenience to students.

The NTA further updated that the revised timing for the afternoon session is as follows: reporting/entry will begin at 2:30 PM, and the exam will commence at 4:00 PM instead of the previously scheduled 3:00 PM. Students from the morning session were given the full duration of the exam and were only allowed to leave after completing it. The NTA expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to students and parents. A helpline number +91-11-40759000 and an email address cuet-ug@nta.ac.in have also been provided for assistance.

In a statement, K. Krithivasan, CEO and MD of TCS, mentioned that a "brief technical issue" led to nearly two hours of delay in the morning session of CUET-UG. He stated that their technical teams quickly identified and resolved the problem, allowing the exams to resume without further interruptions. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
