Katia Aveiro, sister of Cristiano Ronaldo, has indicated that the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 might signal the conclusion of the Portugal captain's international career. She referred to the current tournament as his 'last dance' with the national squad, as reported by FotMob.

While speaking to the media outside BMO Field in Toronto prior to Portugal's Round of 32 match against Croatia, Katia expressed her belief that Ronaldo's time with the national team is drawing to a close.

"Based on what I know, he can prepare to say goodbye. Enjoy it while it lasts. Although he isn't saying farewell today, that moment is approaching," Katia stated, according to FotMob.

"I truly believe this is his farewell. Make the most of it. Finding someone like him will be challenging," she added.

When questioned about whether Ronaldo would retire after achieving the milestone of 1,000 career goals, Katia clarified that her comments were specifically about his national team career. "After reaching 1,000 goals? Yes, that's significant. I'm referring to the national team. From a trustworthy source, I believe this World Cup is indeed his last dance," she remarked.
