Woman Arrested for Poisoning Family's Food in Uttar Pradesh

Shocking Incident in Kaushambi

In a disturbing event in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh, a woman attempted to poison her entire family by mixing poison into the flour. Her plan was thwarted due to a mistake, leading to her arrest by the police, who have initiated an investigation.

The incident unfolded in the village of Malkiya in the Karari area on Sunday night, where the woman turned against her own family. Allegations suggest that she intentionally added poison to the flour.

Following a complaint from her husband, the police registered a case against the woman, her brother, and her father. All three have been apprehended and are now in custody.

Brijesh Kumar Maurya, a resident of Malkiya and a helper in Saudi Arabia, had returned home two and a half months ago. He reported that on Sunday evening, while his wife Malti was preparing dinner, he noticed a strange odor emanating from the dough. Upon inspection, he observed that the flour had a darker color, which raised his suspicions.

When Brijesh confronted Malti, she confessed that she was fed up with the family and intended to poison them. She claimed that her father Kallu Prasad and brother Bajrangi, who live in Manouri, had advised her to do so over the phone.

Brijesh immediately contacted the police by dialing 112. Officers responded promptly, taking Malti into custody and raiding her parental home to arrest Kallu and Bajrangi.

Inspector Vineet Singh confirmed that a case has been filed against all three suspects. They were presented in court on Monday and subsequently sent to jail. Additionally, samples of the poisoned dough will be sent for laboratory analysis.

Brijesh revealed that he married Malti in 2014 in the Manouri market area of Prayagraj, and they have two children. While he worked in Saudi Arabia, Malti and the children lived with the extended family.

He expressed concerns about Malti's frequent phone conversations with unknown individuals, which led to arguments. Upon returning home, he noticed her continued communication with someone, prompting further disputes.

Brijesh also mentioned receiving threatening calls from unknown numbers. He noted that Malti would wear traditional attire while going to the fields, and when family members objected, it led to more conflicts.

Thanks to Brijesh's quick thinking, he potentially saved the lives of ten family members. When the villagers learned of Malti's dangerous actions, they were left in shock. Brijesh expressed gratitude that he discovered the plot in time; otherwise, the entire family could have fallen victim to her deadly intentions.
