Tragic Road Mishap Claims Lives of Five in Telangana

A recent series of road accidents in Telangana has resulted in the tragic loss of five lives, including three family members. The first incident involved a high-speed sports bike colliding with a car, leading to critical injuries for another passenger. In a separate event, two individuals, including an actor, died in a collision with a container truck. Additionally, a car fire occurred after hitting a JCB, but the occupants escaped with minor injuries. These incidents highlight ongoing concerns about road safety in the region.

Hyderabad, May 11: A devastating road accident in Telangana's Mahabubnagar district resulted in the deaths of five individuals, including three family members, when a high-speed sports bike collided with a car on Monday.


The incident took place at Palakonda junction on the Mahabubnagar bypass road as the car was executing a U-turn.


Both the young riders of the sports bike and three occupants of the car lost their lives in the tragic event. Among the deceased were two children and a woman.


Another female passenger in the car sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital, where her condition is reported to be critical.


The victims included Aamir (18 months), Huzefa (8), and Ghousia (30), who were all traveling in the car.


The sports bike was reportedly traveling at an excessive speed, with the rear of the car severely damaged from the impact.


Coming from Hyderabad, the bike was believed to be moving at approximately 140 km/h.


Local residents have expressed concerns about young motorcycle enthusiasts from Hyderabad using the Mahabubnagar bypass for racing, endangering other road users.


In a separate incident, two individuals, including an actor, lost their lives when their car collided with a container truck on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Adibatla, near Hyderabad.


This accident occurred on Sunday close to exit number 12 between Bongloor and Thukkuguda.


The deceased were identified as K. Bharat Kanth (31), an actor, and G. Sai Trilok (31), a cameraman, both hailing from Nellore in Andhra Pradesh.


Bharath Kanth had appeared in the Telugu film ‘Tenant’ (2024) and had minor roles in other productions, while Trilok was a cameraman in the Tollywood industry.


Additionally, a car caught fire after colliding with a JCB in the Markapuram district of Andhra Pradesh, but all five occupants escaped with minor injuries.


This incident occurred near Rajupalem when the car, traveling from Vijayawada to Srisailam, struck the JCB from behind, igniting a fire. Fortunately, the passengers managed to exit the vehicle before it was engulfed in flames.
