Jaipur, Sep 11: A shocking incident unfolded in the Hathoj area of Jaipur, where a man is accused of murdering his wife and three daughters using a cement block before fleeing the scene, according to police reports from Friday.

The tragic event occurred in Govindpuri Colony, close to Scholars International School, under the jurisdiction of the Kardhani police station. The suspect has been identified as Rahul Jha, believed to have killed his wife, Geeta Jha, along with their daughters, Nandini, Radhika, and Gauri.

Authorities received reports of the murders around 10 a.m. on Friday, prompting a swift response from local police, senior officials, and a forensic team. The victims' bodies were discovered in various rooms of their residence at Plot No. A-169 in Govind Vatika.

DCP (West) Prashant Kiran indicated that initial investigations point towards a possible family dispute as the motive, although the precise reason remains unclear. It is suspected that the victims were attacked while they slept during the night. A stone believed to be the murder weapon has been retrieved from the premises.

Reports suggest that the accused received a milk delivery around 7 a.m. before he vanished. His elderly father, Lakshminath Jha, was present in the house when police arrived.

This gruesome act has sparked shock and anger among local residents, who gathered outside the home as news of the incident spread. Neighbors notified the police, leading to the arrival of senior officers, including SHO Sawai Singh, to initiate an investigation.

Investigators are currently interviewing family members, relatives, and neighbors to determine if there were any ongoing disputes or tensions within the household. Search operations are underway to locate the suspect, while forensic experts are gathering evidence from the crime scene.
