Cricket Community Celebrates a Grand Wedding

On Thursday, a host of cricket legends gathered in Mumbai to celebrate the wedding of Arjun Tendulkar, the son of the iconic Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Among the notable attendees was former World Cup-winning captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who attended with his wife, Sakshi. Suresh Raina, a former all-rounder for India, was also present with his spouse, Priyanka. The event saw the presence of ICC Chairman Jay Shah and former India head coach Ravi Shastri, who arrived with his family. BCCI Vice-President Rajiv Shukla was another dignitary at the ceremony. Rahul Dravid, the former captain and coach who led India to victory in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, attended with his wife. Other prominent figures included veteran commentator Harsha Bhogle and former cricketers Kiran More, Venkatesh Prasad, Ajeet Agarkar, along with Ajinkya Rahane and Aakash Chopra, both accompanied by their partners.


Introducing Saaniya Chandhok, Arjun Tendulkar's Bride

Arjun's bride, Saaniya Chandhok, comes from a well-known family. She is the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai, the Chairman of the Graviss Group, and has maintained a close friendship with the Tendulkar family, especially with Arjun's sister, Sara, for many years.


Arjun Tendulkar's Journey in Professional Cricket

At 26, Arjun is a left-arm pacer who has played in five matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL), securing three wickets. He began his IPL career after being acquired by the Mumbai Indians during the 2021 mini-auction and made his debut in the 2023 season. Throughout his time with the Mumbai Indians, he has had both playing opportunities and periods on the bench.


As the IPL 2026 mini-auction approaches, he has been traded to the Lucknow Super Giants and is poised to represent them in the upcoming season. Currently, he plays for Goa in domestic cricket, having made his Mumbai debut in 2021. Arjun is not only advancing his professional cricket career but is also embarking on a new personal journey following his wedding, which was celebrated by many of cricket's elite.
