Australia Announces Women's Contract List for 2026-27
Cricket Australia has officially released its national contract roster for the 2026-27 season, featuring 18 female players. According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Cricket Australia and the Australian Cricketers' Association, a total of 15 to 18 women are eligible for central contracts, as detailed on the Cricket Australia website. Notably, fast bowlers Chloe Ainsworth and Lucy Hamilton have secured their first national contracts, while Nicola Carey continues on the list after receiving an upgrade during Australia's recent tour in the West Indies. However, Alyssa Healy (who has retired), Tayla Vlaeminck, and Tess Flintoff have not been retained from the previous season's roster.
