COVID-19 Cases in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: In the last 24 hours, Odisha has confirmed seven additional COVID-19 cases, according to official reports released on Friday.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state has now reached 30. However, Public Health Director Nilakatha Mishra noted that seven individuals have recovered, resulting in 23 active cases.
Mishra reassured the public that the situation is manageable and emphasized that none of the current cases are severe.
He mentioned that the state government has not implemented any new guidelines and is maintaining communication with the central authorities.
Mishra urged citizens to remain calm, explaining that the recent surge in infections is attributed to mild Omicron sub-variants.
The majority of the cases have emerged from the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, as well as Khurda district.
Khurda has reported the highest number of cases at 16, followed by Cuttack with nine active cases.
Additional cases have been identified in Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and Balasore.
