Court's Decision on Lamborghini Release

In a significant development regarding the high-profile Lamborghini accident case in Kanpur, the court has finally ordered the release of the vehicle. However, the process leading to this decision was filled with dramatic twists. After two courts declined to hear the case, it was ultimately taken up by Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Suraj Mishra's court, which granted the release of the car.

Background of the Incident

Approximately two weeks ago, a Lamborghini was involved in an accident on VIP Road in Kanpur, driven by Shivam Mishra, the son of tobacco businessman KK Mishra. Following the incident, police arrested Shivam Mishra, but he was released by the court due to the availability of bail provisions, which also led to critical remarks about the police's actions.

Rejection by Two Courts

On Friday, a hearing regarding the Lamborghini's release was scheduled, but the ACJM-7 court refused to take up the case. Subsequently, it was sent to the court of the Senior Civil Judge, which also declined to hear it. Eventually, the case reached the CJM court under administrative orders.

Conditions for Release

After hearing both parties, CJM Suraj Mishra ordered the car's release under specific conditions. The court mandated a personal bond of ₹8.3 crore to be deposited. Additionally, it was stipulated that the car cannot be sold, transferred, or altered in any way. The vehicle must be presented to the investigating agency or court if required. In case of any violation of these conditions, the bond amount will be forfeited to the state government.
