Court Accepts Closure Report in Alleged Rape Case Against Haryana BJP President

In a significant legal development, a court in Kasauli has accepted the closure report in an alleged gang rape case involving Haryana BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli and singer Rocky Mittal. The case stemmed from a complaint by a 28-year-old woman who accused the two men of assaulting her in July 2023. Closure Report Accepted by Court in Controversial Case

A court in Kasauli, located in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, has accepted the closure report submitted by the local police regarding an alleged gang rape case involving Haryana BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli and singer Jai Bhagwan, also known as Rocky Mittal. This decision was made on Thursday.

The case was initiated following a complaint from a 28-year-old woman, who claimed that both individuals assaulted her in a hotel in Kasauli in July 2023. The complaint was officially filed in December 2024. However, the complainant did not appear in court.

On Thursday, the court acknowledged the police's closure report, which cleared Badoli and Mittal of any wrongdoing. The police had filed this report due to a lack of evidence in the case.

The FIR was registered at the Kasauli police station on December 13, 2024, nearly a year and a half after the alleged incident. The woman accused Badoli and Mittal of forcing her to consume alcohol and subsequently assaulting her in the hotel.
