Couple Arrested for Murder in Bulandshahr District
Arrests Made in Bulandshahr Murder Case
On Saturday, police in Bulandshahr apprehended a woman and her lover in connection with the murder of the woman's husband. Authorities reported that an unidentified body was discovered near Agwal Cut, close to the Khurja Nagar police station, on January 8.
The deceased was identified as Neeraj, a 38-year-old resident of New Ashok Nagar in Old Delhi, following a post-mortem examination. A case was registered at the Khurja Nagar police station based on a complaint filed by the victim's brother.
On the same day, law enforcement officials arrested Divya, Neeraj's wife, and her boyfriend Pintu, who hails from Etah district, in connection with the murder. During interrogation, Divya revealed that her husband was an alcoholic who often abused her when intoxicated. She disclosed that she had befriended Pintu on social media approximately 10 to 12 years ago, and their relationship eventually blossomed into love.
According to Shankar Prasad, the Superintendent of Police in Bulandshahr, Divya and Pintu conspired to eliminate Neeraj. They allegedly intoxicated him and strangled him with a towel near Agwal Cut. Additionally, they attacked him with a brick during the assault. Both suspects are currently in custody, and a towel and brick believed to have been used in the murder have been recovered based on their confessions.
