Cooperative Education Camp Held in Bharmour to Empower Members

A recent cooperative education camp in Bharmour, organized by the Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Development Federation, brought together around 50 members from local cooperative societies. The event focused on enhancing awareness of cooperative principles and introduced new government initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperative operations. Participants received guidance on their rights and responsibilities, emphasizing effective management. This initiative aligns with the upcoming International Year of Cooperatives 2025, aiming to foster innovative strategies for cooperative business activities.
 

Cooperative Education Initiative in Bharmour

Bharmour – The Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Development Federation Limited, based in Shimla, recently conducted a one-day cooperative education camp in Bharmour, organized under the guidance of the Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Chamba. This event was specifically tailored for members of the management committees of cooperative societies in the Bharmour region.


Approximately 50 participants attended the camp. During the event, Mr. Naresh Kumar, a representative from the Cooperative Management Center in Garli, shared comprehensive insights regarding new government initiatives designed to enhance the functioning of cooperative societies, coinciding with the celebration of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025.


Furthermore, Mr. Balwant Singh, a Cooperative Education Instructor, provided valuable guidance to committee members about their rights and responsibilities within cooperative societies, highlighting the significance of effective management and accountability.


Objective of the Camp


The primary goal of this initiative was to raise awareness among cooperative committee members, deepen their understanding of cooperative principles, and motivate them to implement innovative strategies to bolster cooperative business operations.
