Controversy Surrounds Arvind Kejriwal Over Gurudwara Incident
Gurudwara Incident Sparks Legal Action
Delhi: The national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Arvind Kejriwal, is currently embroiled in a controversy linked to a Gurudwara incident. Reports indicate that an FIR has been filed against Kejriwal and several AAP legislators for allegedly facilitating the unauthorized entry of protesters into the Gurudwara. This situation has raised significant concerns regarding the sanctity of religious sites, political demonstrations, and public order.
The complaint alleges that protesters were escorted inside the Gurudwara premises. However, the validity of these claims and the specifics of the incident will only be confirmed through an investigation. The filing of an FIR does not imply that the allegations against those named have been substantiated.
The FIR was lodged by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC), which includes the names of Kejriwal, AAP legislators, and other party leaders. Committee president Harmit Singh Kalka has accused that political slogans were chanted within the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara complex, and videos related to the incident were misleadingly circulated on social media. The police have initiated an inquiry into the matter.
This controversy is linked to a planned protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on October 10. Some individuals intending to participate in the protest were stopped and detained by the police, leading to escalating tensions regarding police actions and the presence of protesters at the Gurudwara. The AAP has also raised questions about the police's conduct.
Currently, the investigation into the allegations is ongoing. The filing of the FIR does not equate to a confirmation of guilt. Clarity regarding the events and the roles of those involved will emerge only after the investigation concludes.
