Political Fallout from Alleged Video Incident

The controversy in Punjab continues to escalate following the emergence of a video that allegedly disrespects Sikh Gurus. In the midst of this turmoil, Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has criticized Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He stated that any doubts regarding the authenticity of the video have been dispelled, asserting that it was either created by AI or is fake. To conceal the genuine disrespect captured in the video, Mann and the Aam Aadmi Party reportedly fabricated a forensic report. The Sikh community, particularly followers of Guru Nanak, is now deeply hurt, angry, and outraged.

Calls for Investigation and Resignation

A BJP MP has demanded an investigation into how this alleged fraudulent forensic report was obtained, questioning which officials were involved and whether public funds were misused. He raised concerns about potential money laundering and the misuse of government resources. The MP insisted that there should be a thorough investigation and action taken against those responsible. He also called for Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to resign, suggesting that under new laws regarding religious disrespect, the first FIR should be filed against him.

BJP Questions AAP Leadership

BJP leaders have criticized Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal for his silence regarding the controversy surrounding Mann, demanding his resignation. Harsh Malhotra, president of the BJP's Delhi unit, stated in a press conference that it is now evident that Mann has insulted the 'Sikh Maryada' and the Punjabi community nationwide, leading to calls for his resignation from the chief minister's position.

Discrepancies in Forensic Investigations

Malhotra questioned why the Punjab government opted for a private laboratory for the investigation when the Akal Takht Sahib had already conducted an examination through a government lab. Mann has dismissed the video as a smear campaign aimed at tarnishing his reputation. The Punjab unit of AAP has claimed that forensic tests from two laboratories indicate that the individual in the controversial video is not Mann. Meanwhile, Haryana police arrested two individuals on Tuesday in connection with the case.
