In response, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader has asserted that the individual depicted in the clip is not him. Mann has dismissed the accusations of disrespecting Sikh Gurus, claiming that his political opponents are orchestrating a smear campaign against him.

This incident coincides with a declaration from the Akal Takht, the highest religious authority for Sikhs, which labeled the Chief Minister as 'Guru Drohi' (anti-Guru) and 'Khalistani' in light of the contentious video.
