Congress President Criticizes Education Minister Over NEET Paper Leak Controversy
Congress Leader's Strong Rebuttal
On Wednesday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge launched a fierce critique against Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan regarding his alleged comments on student protests related to the NEET paper leak issue. Kharge accused the central government of ruining the futures of millions of students and disrespecting those who raise concerns about irregularities in examinations. In a post on X, he asserted that there have been '90 paper leaks' during the government's tenure, which have devastated the futures of countless students. He also claimed that the NEET paper leak controversy has led to the suicides of 20 students.
Allegations Against the Government
Kharge emphasized that the repeated paper leaks have destroyed the lives of many students, with the NEET incident resulting in tragic losses. He criticized Minister Pradhan for clinging to his position while labeling protesting students as 'terrorists' during interviews. Furthermore, Kharge alleged that the BJP-led government brands anyone who questions it as anti-national.
Referring to the farmers' protests, he recalled how Prime Minister Narendra Modi previously referred to protesting farmers as 'movement parasites.' Kharge insisted that the student movement would gain momentum across the nation and called for Pradhan's resignation. He stated, 'The country has not forgotten that Prime Minister Modi insulted those advocating for farmers in Parliament by calling them 'movement parasites.' Anyone who questions this government is labeled anti-national. The 'echo of students' will resonate powerfully across the country, and Minister Pradhan must resign.'
Minister's Response to Protests
Earlier, in an interview, Pradhan described the protests at Jantar Mantar demanding his resignation as the 'B-team' of disruptive elements. He remarked that these protesters are disguised individuals who have been rejected by democracy and are now targeting the system, rallying for those who wish to divide the nation.
