Congress Legislator Criticizes PM Modi, Accuses BJP of Undermining Regional Parties
Congress Legislator's Strong Remarks Against PM Modi
On Monday, Congress legislator B.K. Hariprasad referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as 'Mahishasura' and accused the BJP of weakening regional parties while sidelining leaders within its own ranks. Speaking to a news outlet, Hariprasad stated, "Take this Mahishasura, he has dismantled the Akali Dal, obliterated the Shiv Sena, eradicated the Janata Dal, destroyed the AIADMK, and finished the NCP. What is he talking about? If he believes Congress has betrayed anyone, he should first look in the mirror. The person who eliminated Advani has wiped out all opponents, with Sanjay Joshi being a prime example of this. He was caught, and his entire political career was ruined."
Defending Congress Against Allegations
In response to accusations that Congress has destroyed other parties, he emphasized that the party's generosity, faith in democracy, and commitment to the Constitution have allowed regional parties to thrive. "We have never destroyed them. Congress has never engaged in such actions. We believe in transparency and true democracy," he asserted. Hariprasad also criticized the Prime Minister's recent comments regarding the oil crisis and economic control measures, claiming that despite warnings from opposition leader Rahul Gandhi about the situation in West Asia, the government failed to act promptly.
Highlighting the Ongoing Crisis
Hariprasad pointed out that the world was aware of the crisis in West Asia since February 28, and that Rahul Gandhi had alerted the government at that time. "The BJP did not take his warnings seriously. Now, everyone knows that elections have been ongoing for nearly four months. This 'Mogambo' has never addressed the global crisis. Throughout the election period, he only spoke of taking responsibility but claimed they could not take responsibility for the entire country. Instead, he urged people not to buy gold, reduce the use of petroleum products, and avoid foreign travel," he added.
Accusations Against Modi's Governance
He further accused PM Modi of neglecting governance while traveling across the country for election campaigns, stating, "What has he been doing for the past four months? He has been touring the country, watching street food, attending football matches in Sikkim, visiting the Hooghly River, and going to temples. Where is the governance? He has handed over the entire administration to the RSS, which is intent on dismantling constitutional bodies like the Election Commission and the courts. The RSS is dominating everywhere. They should advise the RSS, but first, they need to practice what they preach."
