Protest Against Police Action on Students

New Delhi: On Tuesday, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, along with party president Mallikarjun Kharge, staged a protest outside the residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They demanded his resignation in response to police actions against students involved in protests regarding the NEET paper leak.

The demonstration saw participation from numerous party MPs and leaders, who vocally criticized the Prime Minister.

Earlier, the Congress leaders had marched to Modi's residence to express their outrage over what they termed 'police brutality' against students during a protest organized by the CJP that aimed to reach Parliament on Monday.

"We have come to PM Modi's residence to seek accountability for the violence inflicted on students yesterday. The government is avoiding responsibility and refuses to engage in a parliamentary discussion on this matter," Gandhi stated in a post on X.

"The Prime Minister and Home Minister should resign for jeopardizing the future of India's youth," asserted the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

Rahul Gandhi, along with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other Congress members, previously visited students who were injured during the police action at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
