Congress Leader Criticizes Arvind Kejriwal's Recent Remarks
Congress Leader's Strong Rebuttal
On Saturday, Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit launched a fierce attack on Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), regarding his recent comments directed at party leaders. Dikshit labeled Kejriwal as a stain on Indian politics and referred to AAP as the 'B team' of the BJP. He questioned the validity of Kejriwal's false accusations related to the excise policy and demanded evidence for his claims about past corruption within the Congress party. Dikshit pointed out that Kejriwal had spent three to four years stirring up chaos on the streets of Delhi, accusing Congress of corruption.
In an interview, Dikshit remarked that Kejriwal's actions reflect his 'baseness' and have tarnished the image of politics in the country. He challenged Kejriwal to provide a truthful statement from the last 15 years, emphasizing that the AAP leader had previously accused Congress of corruption while creating disturbances in Delhi. This confrontation arose after Kejriwal's sharp criticism of Congress leadership during a press conference, following the acquittal of 22 others in the excise policy case. He dismissed comments made by Congress leader Pawan Khera, who suggested that the court's decision was a strategic move to weaken Congress ahead of the upcoming elections in Punjab and Gujarat.
Kejriwal questioned Congress, asking why prominent figures like Robert Vadra, Sanjay Singh, and Rahul Gandhi had not faced jail time, implying a double standard. In response, Dikshit stated that Kejriwal has not received a clean chit in this matter, asserting, 'Why should Sonia Gandhi go to jail? Was she involved in the liquor scam? Kejriwal has yet to receive a clean chit... You spent three to four years claiming that files against Congress existed. Where are those files now?'
Dikshit further claimed that it is widely known that AAP is involved in collusion with the BJP. He stated that the public is aware of AAP's role as the BJP's 'B team.' He noted that the BJP did not take action against AAP until they needed power in Delhi, at which point the files were reopened.
