Community Trust Supports Education with Financial Aid for Students

Educational Support Initiative by Karuna Prem Trust

The Karuna Prem Education Assistance Trust, in partnership with Khatri Sabha Mandi, awarded ₹30,000 in educational support to three students facing financial hardships during an event at Khatri Sabha Bhawan on Wednesday. Each recipient received ₹10,000 to aid their educational pursuits.

Neeraj Handa, an executive member, pointed out that the trust has been dedicated to educational support since 2022, providing annual financial assistance to three to five students engaged in school, higher education, and vocational training.


In addition to educational efforts, Khatri Sabha Mandi is actively involved in broader social welfare activities, donating ₹31,000 each month. This includes ₹1,000 to four social organizations and ₹1,500 to 18 individuals in need. Handa noted that the Sabha’s support is inclusive, reaching beyond the Khatri community to assist anyone requiring help.


The event highlighted the essential contributions of community organizations and charitable trusts in enhancing the lives of underprivileged groups.


Attendees included Dr. Naresh Baidya (President, Khatri Sabha Mandi), Engineer N.D. Vaidya (Vice-President), M.P. Vaidya ‘Palu’ (General Secretary), Gopal Krishna Kapoor (Treasurer), along with other executive members.
