A community meeting aimed at raising awareness about drug prevention took place in Bharmour on Sunday. The event sought to inform the public about the detrimental effects of substance abuse and to encourage the youth to steer clear of addiction.
The session was led by DSP Chamba, Baldev Dutt, and saw participation from members of the Bharmour Trade Association and the Bharmour Taxi Union.
Police Call for Community Support
During his speech, DSP Baldev Dutt highlighted the growing issue of drug abuse, particularly among the youth. He called on the community to support police efforts in combating drug-related issues and to report any drug trafficking activities to the authorities without delay.
Attendees expressed their commitment to collaborating in the anti-drug initiatives.
Plans for Future Awareness Campaigns
Station House Officer (SHO) Bharmour, Babu Ram Sharma, provided insights into the ongoing police efforts against narcotics. The meeting concluded with plans to conduct awareness camps and outreach programs in the Bharmour area in the upcoming months, aiming to foster a drug-free community.
