The Idea of Bharat Foundation has launched a 60-day initiative titled “Chitta Mukt Nurpur, Nasha Mukt Nurpur”, with Hathidhar Panchayat recently completing its 15th phase through a door-to-door outreach effort. This program aims to engage local residents in discussions about the dangers of drug use and to foster community involvement in creating a drug-free environment.
Key figures such as Gram Panchayat Pradhan Bhavna Mahajan, along with Kuldeep Thakur, Vicky Singh, and Harnam Singh, took an active role in the initiative. They emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to steer the youth towards constructive activities and enhance public awareness regarding substance abuse.
An awareness session was also held at Nagrota School, attended by Principal Ambika Devi and the teaching staff. During this event, students were encouraged to avoid drugs, embrace a healthy lifestyle, and concentrate on their future aspirations.
Rahul Sharma, the Foundation's President, underscored the vital contributions of families, educational institutions, and the community in combating drug addiction. He noted that providing timely advice and maintaining open communication with young people can empower them to resist the lure of drugs. The Foundation aims to bolster grassroots discussions at the Panchayat level, engaging all societal segments to transform awareness into a unified movement.
The campaign's message is clear: “Say Yes to Life, No to Drugs. Chitta Mukt Nurpur, Nasha Mukt Nurpur!”
