Cockerroach Party Leader Urges BJP to Heed RSS Chief's Advice on Youth Protests

Call for Understanding Youth Protests

On August 7 in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Abhijit Deepke, the convenor of the Cockroach People's Party (CAZPA), urged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to follow the advice of their mentor, Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Bhagwat had suggested that the protesting 'Gen Z' youth should not be labeled as anti-national. Deepke pointed out a disconnect between the BJP and its ideological guide, the RSS. Speaking to reporters a day after Bhagwat's dialogue with 'Gen Z' in Mumbai, Deepke emphasized that the ruling party should acknowledge that the youth's protests at Jantar Mantar regarding alleged irregularities in the NEET exam were legitimate grievances.

Bhagwat openly supported 'Gen Z' on Thursday, asserting that their complaints were valid and expressing trust in their integrity. He also stated that protesting does not make the youth 'anti-national'. Deepke highlighted that Bhagwat's most significant statement was that the protesting youth should not be labeled as anti-national and that their issues are valid.

He remarked, 'Previously, the BJP president referred to us as a 'virus', and former Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan labeled us as the 'B-team' of terrorists. Now, they should listen to Mohan Bhagwat, as he is their guide and 'godfather'.' The CAZPA leader expressed concern over the BJP ignoring Bhagwat's remarks, stating that there is a clear lack of alignment between the party's stance and Bhagwat's views, as the ruling party continues to adopt an opposing position.

Deepke added, 'If they are not listening to their own guide, it is a matter of concern. If that is the case, Bhagwat should have a conversation with the BJP.' He also referenced videos circulating on social media related to the Jantar Mantar protests, calling for a thorough investigation. He alleged, 'I believe that the videos circulating on social media should be investigated. If an inquiry is conducted, it will expose the fake videos released by the BJP's IT cell.'

Deepke further mentioned that CAZPA has dispatched teams to support candidates protesting against alleged irregularities in recruitment exams in Jharkhand. He warned that if these movements are overlooked, the localized protests could escalate into a nationwide movement. He stated, 'We will strive to unite people on issues concerning the youth. If individuals come together, rising above political and ideological differences, they can exert pressure on the government, similar to what we witnessed during the Jantar Mantar protests.'
