CJP's Upcoming Strategy Meeting
The Cockroach People's Party (CJP) announced on Monday that it will conduct a two-day strategy meeting starting August 5 in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. This meeting will feature the party's founder, spokesperson, and organizational leaders, who will deliberate on the next steps for the youth movement. Recently, CJP members have engaged with various stakeholders to shape the party's future direction, including fifty key volunteers who actively participated in protests at Jantar Mantar.
Listening Tour to Follow Strategy Meeting
Following the strategy session, CJP plans to embark on a nationwide 'Listening Tour' to better understand the needs and expectations of the youth. This initiative comes after a successful protest against former Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, which led to his resignation. Chief spokesperson Saurav Das stated that the defeat of this arrogant government by the youth demonstrates their potential to achieve significant outcomes when united. He added, 'Our team is working on the best path forward to translate the hopes of the youth into meaningful actions.'
Future Activities and Political Stance
CJP intends to release more information about its upcoming activities, including the schedule for the nationwide 'Listening Tour.' However, founder Abhijit Dipke has made it clear that the organization does not aim to become a political party. He stated, 'We have no such intentions. We are observing how political parties are being undermined using the ED and CBI. Votes are being manipulated in elections. At a time when public trust in politics is waning, what purpose would forming a political party serve? Given the declining faith in the judiciary, electoral system, and even the media, the country needs a people's movement.'
Allegations of External Interference
Dipke also accused external individuals of infiltrating the peaceful student protest at Jantar Mantar, which led to some violence during the march to Parliament on July 20. He remarked, 'From the beginning of my movement, I have stated that some individuals will be sent to create chaos and discredit the protest, and blame will be placed on those associated with CJP. These thugs had already planned with the Delhi police. At the protest site, where I was not allowed to enter without screening, 2100 criminals were roaming freely. This raises significant questions about the Delhi police.'
