CJP Leaders Intensify Protests Against Election Commissioner Amid Allegations of Government Repression

In a bold move, leaders of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) have intensified their protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, accusing the Modi government of creating an oppressive environment. Allegations include train cancellations and the unlawful detention of activists. CJP's Saurav Das criticized the government's actions, claiming that they have turned against their citizens. He emphasized that protests will not be limited to Delhi but will spread nationwide. This ongoing agitation raises questions about civil rights and government accountability in India.

Protests Escalate Against Chief Election Commissioner

New Delhi: Leaders from the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) declared on Sunday their commitment to persist with their protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. They accused the Modi administration of fostering an emergency-like atmosphere through train cancellations, protest restrictions, and the detention of activists.

Saurav Das, a representative of CJP, claimed that the government has turned against its own people, suggesting that officials could have engaged in dialogue with protesters instead of imposing limitations on their right to demonstrate at designated locations.

He stated, "They have unlawfully detained us. They have imposed a condition that there should be no disturbances for a year. The real disturbance has been instigated by Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and Gyanesh Kumar," referring to the conditions set for their release.

Das emphasized that the protests are ongoing, asserting, "Demonstrations will not be confined to Delhi; they will occur across the entire nation."
