CJP's Upcoming Protest in Delhi

New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced plans for a peaceful protest in Delhi on October 10, urging all citizens who advocate for free and fair elections to participate if Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar does not resign.

CJP has been vocal about its demand for Kumar's resignation, citing concerns over alleged discrepancies in the electoral process and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.

In a statement released on Saturday, CJP's founder and convener, Abhijeet Dipke, emphasized that supporters from across the nation would gather in New Delhi to demonstrate at Jantar Mantar if Kumar remains in his position.

Dipke stated, "If Gyanesh Kumar fails to resign, cockroaches from all over India will march to Delhi and protest at Jantar Mantar on October 10."

He further added that if the Delhi Police attempts to obstruct their march, they will simply adapt and continue their protest wherever they are stopped, maintaining a commitment to peaceful demonstration inspired by Mahatma Gandhi.

The protest is designed to adhere to a non-violent approach, drawing from historical civil disobedience to uphold public trust in democratic institutions, as outlined in the statement.

CJP leaders expressed confidence that bureaucratic hurdles would not hinder their movement, referencing past prolonged protests and recent detentions as evidence of their determination.

"This is a crucial battle for our democracy," Dipke asserted. "We invite every citizen who desires free and fair elections to join us on October 10."

This announcement follows a recent protest at Mumbai's Shivaji Park, where thousands gathered despite police restrictions to demand Kumar's resignation over alleged irregularities in the electoral rolls.

The Mumbai demonstration also included calls for further action in Delhi if Kumar does not step down.
